The Aryavarth Express New Delhi: Vishal Sikka, Founder and CEO of Vianai Systems, emphasised that using artificial intelligence effectively requires a clear understanding of its limitations, along with bridging the gap between technology and business applications.
Addressing the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Vishak Sikka said that knowledge of AI alone is not enough. “Being effective with AI requires not only knowledge of AI itself, but understanding its limitations, and how to overcome those limitations. There’s a huge gap between analysts and business users, and how to bring value to those users. Overcoming those gaps is where a lot of value-creating opportunity lies,” he stated.
He highlighted AI’s transformative potential, noting that individuals who understand how to leverage the technology can achieve remarkable productivity gains. Citing an example, he said a large public service that initially took months to develop was later rebuilt in just days using generative AI tools, demonstrating exponential efficiency improvements.
Vishal Sikka also spoke about AI’s disruptive and transformative power, saying it provides instant access to knowledge in multiple languages and the ability to reimagine legacy enterprise systems. According to him, industries can be reshaped, and new possibilities unlocked through thoughtful application of AI.
Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for fostering entrepreneurship in the AI era, Sikka said that while AI still has limitations, creativity and deeper understanding can unlock unprecedented opportunities.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 has convened policymakers, industry experts, academicians, innovators, and civil society representatives from across the globe to strengthen international dialogue on AI governance, safety, and societal impact.
