The Aryavarth Express:
Mumbai (Maharashtra): A complaint has been filed with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) seeking an immediate ban on the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, over allegations of obscenity.
Advocate Vineet Jindal submitted the complaint, which has also been forwarded to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, urging authorities to take urgent action against the song.
The complainant alleged that the track, currently available on YouTube and widely shared across social media, contains “vulgar, sexually suggestive, and obscene” lyrics and visuals. The complaint further claims that the song’s choreography and picturisation promote indecency and may negatively impact public sensibilities.
Concerns have also been raised about the accessibility of such content to minors, with the complainant arguing that it exposes children to material that is not age-appropriate.
The complaint names several contributors associated with the song, including lyricist Raqeeb Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya, and singer Mangli.
From a legal perspective, the complainant has cited provisions under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Information Technology Act 2000.
Additionally, a separate criminal complaint has reportedly been filed with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell regarding the issue.
The plea calls for the immediate removal of the song from all digital platforms, stressing the need to protect public decency and prevent minors from exposure to allegedly inappropriate content.
