Bengaluru: In a case that has remained under judicial scrutiny for over seven years, serious allegations have been raised against M/s. Bindu Ventures, a real estate firm based in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The company is accused of constructing an unauthorized and illegal commercial building—Bindu Galaxy, located at No. 2, 1st Main Road, Rajajinagar Industrial Town, West of Chord Road, Bengaluru – 560010.
According to credible reports, the structure was built in blatant violation of building norms and civic regulations. Multiple commercial office units within the building have allegedly been sold at prices significantly lower than the officially notified guidance value as prescribed by the State Government of Karnataka, thereby causing substantial revenue loss not only to the state exchequer but also to the Income Tax Department.
The deliberate undervaluation of sale transactions has raised serious concerns of large-scale tax evasion, with the builder reportedly declaring income well below actual market value. This practice is believed to have resulted in massive losses to the central exchequer, adding another layer to the legal and financial irregularities surrounding the case.
The matter is currently pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka under Writ Petition Nos. 21225 & 21226 of 2017. Despite the seriousness of the violations and the potential financial implications, no concrete action has been initiated by the state authorities or civic bodies even after seven years of litigation.
Legal and civic observers have voiced deep concern over the prolonged inaction, suggesting that such silence is possible only through administrative apathy or collusion with the erring builder. There is growing demand for transparency and accountability in the matter.
With mounting public frustration, there is also increasing support for escalating the matter to the Lokayukta of Karnataka, urging an independent and impartial investigation into the builder’s activities and the possible complicity of public officials.
