The Aryavarth Express Mumbai, April 8: The trailer of ‘Candy And The Pizza Ggirl’ was unveiled on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into a surreal, darkly comic story set over one chaotic night in Mumbai.
Directed by debutant Akkhil Kapur, the film unfolds across a full-moon night, where a single catastrophic incident sets off a chain of bizarre and interconnected events. The narrative brings together a range of eccentric characters whose lives collide in unexpected and often absurd ways.
The story centres on Bobby (Ninad Kamat), an ageing party enthusiast struggling to maintain control; Candy (Shivani Singh), an influencer chasing validation; Pizza Ggirl (Priya Banerjee), a mysterious and otherworldly figure influencing multiple lives; and Mickey (Dara Sandhu), a method actor blurring the line between performance and reality.
They are joined by Sunny (Nimish Shitole), a socially awkward man fixated on executing a “perfect” act, and the Peddler (Aniket Sanghavi), a drug dealer posing as a doctor, whose interventions only deepen the chaos.
Speaking about the film, Kapur said it explores the illusion of control and how quickly life can spiral. He noted that the non-linear storytelling reflects the unpredictable nature of chaos, where multiple realities overlap and evolve simultaneously.
Ninad Kamat added that the film’s layered and unpredictable world drew him in, highlighting how each character grapples with their own distorted sense of reality.
Produced by Full Moon Studioz, the film blends dark comedy, satire, and psychological absurdity while exploring themes of identity, illusion, and excess.
‘Candy And The Pizza Ggirl’ is set to premiere on Prime Video India on April 10.
