The Aryavarth express Indore, April 6: At least four people lost their lives and eight others sustained serious injuries after an SUV collided with an Eicher truck in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district late Sunday night, police officials said.
The accident took place near the Devguradia trenching ground under the Khudel police station limits. The victims were returning to Indore from Sehore district after attending a wedding. All passengers were residents of Iqbal Colony in Sadar Bazar.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and rushed the injured to MY Hospital for treatment.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Ranveer Singh Parihar from the MY Hospital police outpost stated that three victims died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries during treatment. Eight others were injured and are currently undergoing medical care.
He added that a Zero FIR will be registered before transferring the case to Khudel police station for further investigation.
According to MY Hospital Superintendent Dr. Ashok Yadav, a total of 12 people were involved in the accident. Of these, four have died, five are being treated at the hospital, and three sought treatment at private facilities. The injured are reported to be in serious condition, with some suffering neurological issues and multiple organ injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Irfan (24), Aaris Ali (20), Mohammad Farhan (19), who were declared dead on arrival, and Arfad (23), who died during treatment. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the incident.
