Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir | March 26, 2026 :The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir on Thursday carried out extensive raids across multiple locations in the union territory as part of a newly registered terror investigation.
Search operations are underway in key districts, including Srinagar, Shopian, and Ganderbal. Officials said the कार्रवाई is being conducted under court-issued warrants in connection with a case registered at a CIK police station.
According to investigators, the case involves a transnational terror module allegedly directed by Shabir Ahmad Lone, a Kashmir native believed to be operating from Bangladesh. He is reportedly linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, with the module receiving instructions from handlers based in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Authorities suspect the network has cross-border links and is part of a larger conspiracy to carry out terror activities. Further details on the raids are awaited.
Earlier, the National Investigation Agency conducted coordinated searches across multiple districts in connection with the 2025 Red Fort blast case. Raids were carried out in several locations, including Srinagar, Baramulla, Jammu, Kulgam, Ganderbal, and Handwara.
During those searches, officials seized digital devices and electronic records suspected to be linked to the conspiracy. These materials have been sent for forensic analysis to uncover communication networks and operational plans.
The Red Fort blast on November 10, 2025, had resulted in multiple casualties and injuries. So far, 11 individuals have been arrested in the case, while the prime accused, Umer Un Nabi, was killed in the explosion.
