The Aryavarth Express:
Washington, DC: Verified video footage and satellite imagery indicate that Iranian drone strikes and interceptions have taken place across seven countries, highlighting an ongoing threat to US military assets and regional stability, according to a report by NBC News.
An analysis of the visual evidence found that drones reached their intended targets in 21 of the 26 recorded incidents. The strikes reportedly targeted a range of strategic locations, including transportation hubs, diplomatic centres, energy facilities, and military installations.
According to the report, Iran frequently deploys the Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicle. The drone is capable of travelling approximately 1,200 miles while carrying a warhead weighing up to 110 pounds. Described by experts as inexpensive “exploding drones,” they are typically pre-programmed to hit specific coordinates without a pilot, making them a prominent example of asymmetric warfare tactics.
Meanwhile, Iran’s naval forces claimed to have struck several key targets inside American military bases, including Al Dhafra Air Base, Sheikh Isa Air Base, and Al Udeid Air Base.
Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said in a post on X that facilities such as US Patriot radar systems, control towers, aircraft hangars, central ramps, and aircraft fuel depots were among the targets hit.
In a separate statement, the IRGC’s public relations wing said Iranian missile and drone units struck the Patriot radar systems, control towers, and air defence hangars at Al Dhafra using kamikaze drones and precision ballistic missiles.
The statement also claimed that early warning radar systems, aircraft hangars, central ramps, and US aircraft fuel depots at Sheikh Isa Air Base were destroyed and set ablaze. Additionally, the Al Udairi Helicopter Base reportedly suffered damage to equipment hangars, gathering sites, and helicopter maintenance facilities.
The IRGC further announced the launch of the 51st wave of Operation True Promise 4, which involved missile strikes on US military installations across the region.
According to the group, the latest wave included a combination of liquid-fuel and solid-fuel missiles targeting US forces at Al Kharj Air Base. The IRGC alleged that the base had served as a staging ground for F-35 Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon jets involved in attacks against Iran.
A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said the fiftieth wave of the operation targeted multiple US military facilities across the region. These reportedly included Al Dhafra Air Base and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, Jufair in Bahrain, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and Al Azraq Air Base, as well as early warning radar systems positioned across the region.
