Lucknow [India]: Rishabh Pant, captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), emphasized team bonding, communication, and clarity of goals as the franchise kicked off preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season, set to begin on March 28.
In a video shared on LSG’s official X handle, Pant welcomed both returning players and new additions to the squad, encouraging everyone to focus on building strong relationships during the pre-season camp.
“A lot of people are from last year. A few new faces for sure. Welcome, everyone. Let’s keep it simple and focus on building relationships. If we don’t talk about cricket, we won’t improve. Take what you can from everyone here and try to build something exciting for the season ahead,” Pant said.
The wicketkeeper-batter also highlighted the importance of mental clarity, urging players to define both individual and team objectives before the start of the tournament.
“Every season, we aim to build something and win. At the same time, we must be clear on what we want to achieve as individuals and as a team. This is the perfect time to gain that clarity,” he added.
Pant described the current gathering as the initial phase of the pre-season camp, with the remaining squad members expected to join around March 15–16. He encouraged teammates to enjoy the process while keeping energy levels high.
“This is still a pre-season camp. Let’s spend quality time together, keep communicating, maintain high energy, have fun, learn, and create something special,” Pant said.
