The Aryavarth Express
Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday listened to the grievances of around 200 people during the public grievance redressal programme, Janta Darshan, held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan in Gorakhpur.

The Chief Minister, who arrived in Gorakhpur late Monday evening and stayed overnight at the Gorakhnath Temple, personally interacted with the attendees, carefully reading their applications and assuring them of timely resolution. He directed officials present at the programme to address every complaint with sensitivity and ensure quick, transparent, and high-quality disposal.

Moving among the people seated at the venue, CM Yogi enquired about their places of origin and the nature of their problems, listening to each grievance individually. He assured the complainants that there was no need to worry and that their issues would be resolved. Officials were instructed to take strict legal action in cases related to land encroachment.

As in previous grievance hearings, several people sought financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. The Chief Minister assured them that lack of funds would not hinder medical treatment and said adequate assistance would be provided from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund. He also directed officials to expedite the process of obtaining hospital estimates and forwarding them for approval.

CM Yogi also interacted warmly with children who accompanied their families to the programme, encouraging them to attend school and study well. He distributed chocolates to the children as a gesture of affection.

Earlier in the morning, following his customary routine at the Gorakhnath Temple, the Chief Minister offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath and paid homage to his guru, the late Mahant Avaidyanath. He later visited the temple cowshed, where he performed cow service, calling the cows by their names, feeding them bread and jaggery, and showering them with affection. He was also seen feeding a peacock that approached him at the cowshed.
