New Delhi [India]: Jain spiritual leader Acharya Lokesh Muni on Wednesday called for an end to conflict, violence and terrorism, stressing that dialogue and understanding are the only sustainable solutions to global problems. He made the remarks during a nine-day katha organised in Delhi by Pujya Morari Bapu under the World Peace Centre Mission.
Speaking on the fifth day of the katha, Acharya Lokesh Muni said a strong message of peace had been conveyed to the world, emphasising that there is no place for war, violence or terrorism in modern society. He revealed that he has been entrusted with the responsibility of forming a globally impactful committee aimed at intervening in conflict zones and resolving disputes through dialogue.
He said the newly proposed committee would work wherever there is conflict or violence, promoting peaceful solutions instead of confrontation. Acharya Lokesh Muni underlined that war, terrorism and violence do not offer answers to humanity’s challenges and only deepen divisions.
He also noted that the katha has emerged as a platform to challenge and dispel widespread misconceptions in society and across the world, while simultaneously launching a fresh global initiative focused on peace and harmony.
Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, who was also present at the event, praised Acharya Lokesh Muni’s efforts and expressed gratitude for the initiative to establish a World Peace Centre. He said the gathering aimed to unite the nation around the values of Sanatan Dharma and acknowledged the significance of the initiative in promoting unity and peace.
Shastri further highlighted contemporary challenges, stating that while the world is progressing rapidly in the age of Artificial Intelligence, there is an equally pressing need for what he described as “Hindutva Intelligence.” He asserted that Dharma has the power to unite the nation, prevent violence, avert a potential third world war, and guide humanity towards peace and non-violence.
He concluded by saying that spiritual values and ethical principles are essential to ensure harmony in society and to steer individuals away from violence and towards compassion and coexistence.
