Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh):
Ayodhya witnessed an overwhelming surge of devotees on Wednesday as the holy city marked the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Thousands of pilgrims from across the country arrived to offer prayers, turning the temple town into a vibrant centre of devotion and spiritual enthusiasm.
From the temple premises to the streets of Ram Nagari, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed throughout the city as devotees gathered to seek divine blessings. Many pilgrims shared that beginning the New Year with the darshan of Lord Ram holds deep spiritual importance, bringing peace, positivity, and a sense of divine grace.
To manage the large turnout, security was heightened across the temple complex and surrounding areas, ensuring smooth movement of devotees and maintaining law and order. Several first-time visitors also praised Ayodhya’s transformation, highlighting its cleanliness, orderly development, and serene spiritual atmosphere.
Tourist Shreya Sawat expressed her joy, saying, “I feel very good coming here. The city is extremely clean and peaceful. I feel blessed to be in Ayodhya today, especially on Ekadashi. I pray that Lord Ram fulfils everyone’s wishes in the New Year.”
Another devotee, Anuja, described her visit as a meaningful way to welcome the New Year. “We wanted to start the New Year with Lord Ram’s darshan. Coming here feels divine. This is our first visit, and the spiritual energy is truly overwhelming,” she said.
Anagha Gokhale, who also visited the temple, said her journey felt divinely guided. “After the Pran Pratishtha, I never imagined I would visit so soon. It is only because of Lord Ram’s blessings. Ayodhya is deeply spiritual, and the people here are very warm and welcoming,” she shared.
The second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha has further reinforced Ayodhya’s stature as a major spiritual and cultural hub, with devotees continuing to throng the city at the start of the New Year. The Ram Lalla idol was consecrated on January 22, 2024, during a grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by several dignitaries.
