Mumbai (Maharashtra): Actor Ranveer Singh shared a reflective and cryptic note on destiny and patience as his latest film Dhurandhar continues its impressive run at the box office.
Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a quote highlighting the unpredictable nature of fate, suggesting that he is currently choosing to embrace faith and patience. The message, loosely translated, read: “Fate has a beautiful habit of changing when the time is right. But for now—faith and patience.”
Dhurandhar, which stars Ranveer in the role of an Indian spy, has been receiving an overwhelming response from audiences across the country. The film’s second Saturday collection has outperformed several major blockbusters, earning ₹46.50 crore and surpassing films such as Pushpa 2 (Hindi), Chhaava, Stree 2 and Animal. Other films featured in the top 10 second Saturday collections include Gadar 2, Jawan, Saiyaara, Baahubali 2 (Hindi) and The Kashmir Files.
The film’s remarkable success is further reflected in its strong two-week overall performance at the box office.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar narrates the story of Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan to become part of Rehman Dakait’s gang. Inspired by real-life events such as the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the film explores the complex dynamics of the India–Pakistan conflict.
The ensemble cast includes Akshaya Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. The action-adventure has also witnessed houseful shows in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir, including smaller towns like Shopian and Pulwama, signalling renewed enthusiasm for theatrical releases even in regions with limited cinema infrastructure.
Following the film’s success, Dhurandhar Part Two has been announced and is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.
