New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet with members of the all-party global delegation at 7 PM today at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. The meeting follows the return of the delegation from an international outreach mission tied to Operation Sindoor.

Coordinated by the office of Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, the meeting brings together over 50 delegation members, including MPs from various political parties, former diplomats, and retired government officials. Their mission took them to more than 30 countries in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 tourists.

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 as a direct response to the Pahalgam attack. The operation involved precision military strikes on terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces reportedly neutralized over 100 terrorists associated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

As part of the international campaign to rally support for India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism, the government dispatched seven high-level delegations. Each team, led by a senior parliamentarian, engaged with foreign leaders and institutions to expose Pakistan’s alleged role in cross-border terrorism and advocate for stronger global pressure, including Pakistan’s reinstatement on the FATF grey list.

The delegations were divided as follows:

  • Group 1: Led by BJP’s Baijayant Panda, visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria.
  • Group 2: Headed by BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad, travelled to the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark.
  • Group 3: JD(U)’s Sanjay Kumar Jha led the mission to Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
  • Group 4: Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Eknath Shinde covered the UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone.
  • Group 5: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor visited the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia.
  • Group 6: DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi met counterparts in Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia.
  • Group 7: NCP-SCP’s Supriya Sule led outreach in Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

In their meetings, the delegations emphasized India’s firm position on terrorism and urged host countries to support global action against terror-sponsoring states.

Tonight’s meeting will allow Prime Minister Modi to receive detailed briefings from the delegates and evaluate international responses to India’s post-Operation Sindoor diplomatic initiative.
