Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked his 53rd birthday in a deeply spiritual setting, participating in sacred rituals at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. As part of the celebration, CM Yogi witnessed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, held on the temple’s first floor, where newly installed idols of Lord Ram and his divine family were consecrated according to Vedic traditions.

The idols depict Lord Ram enthroned alongside Maa Janaki, with his brothers Bharat, Laxman, and Shatrughan standing beside him. An idol of Lord Hanuman (Bajrangbali) was also consecrated. CM Yogi offered prayers and performed ‘aarti’ as part of the ceremony. He further extended his visit by attending similar consecration rituals at nearby temples within the Ram Darbar complex and paid homage at the revered Hanuman Garhi temple.

The final day of the three-day consecration event began early, with the worship of invoked deities starting at 6:30 AM and lasting for two hours. This was followed by a one-hour ‘hawan’ starting at 9 AM. The event saw the presence of prominent figures, including Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust; General Secretary Champat Rai; and Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, among other dignitaries.

While CM Yogi celebrated in Ayodhya, festivities were also held in Gorakhpur, where local traders performed a symbolic milk coronation (abhishek) of the Chief Minister’s portrait using Panchamrit, accompanied by Vedic chants and a special hawan for his long life.

Radha Kant Verma, district in-charge of the Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh, praised the Chief Minister’s popularity across the state and the nation, expressing hopes of seeing him serve as the country’s future Prime Minister.

Later in the day, CM Yogi is expected to attend the Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav in Ayodhya, according to Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj of Shriramvallabhkunj. Organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, the weeklong celebration from June 5 to 11 will feature a series of devotional activities, rituals, and spiritual discourses.
