The Aryavarth Express

Bengaluru: The 9 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Bengaluru, successfully conducted its Annual Training Camp (ATC) from May 17 to May 26, 2025, at the Christ University Campus, Kanmanike, Kengeri. A total of 461 cadets from various affiliated schools and colleges across Bengaluru urban and rural districts participated in the camp under the guidance of Army personnel and associate NCC officers.

The camp was aimed at providing comprehensive military training while fostering holistic development among cadets. Activities focused on building discipline, leadership, military etiquette, and cultural integration.

In addition to the core training modules, cadets attended expert guest lectures on a range of important subjects, including:

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Drug Abuse and Its Consequences (by a representative from the Narcotics Control Bureau)
  • Basics of Cyber Security
  • Geo-Geopolitics
  • Soft Skills & Communication
  • Career Counseling
  • First Aid & CPR

Cadets also took part in various sports and extracurricular competitions, where they demonstrated their physical fitness, team spirit, and creative talents. The camp concluded with a cultural evening, where cadets showcased the rich diversity of their backgrounds through vibrant performances.

On May 23, 2025, Col S. S. Kalia, Group Commander of NCC Group ‘B’ Bengaluru, visited the camp, reviewed the ongoing training activities, and interacted with the cadets. His presence served as a great motivation to all participants.

The camp was conducted under the able leadership of Camp Commandant Col N. M. Rahman, with Deputy Camp Commandant Lt Col Amit Bhatnagar and Sub Maj (Hony Lt) Sanjeev Kumar playing key roles in managing the event.

The Annual Training Camp served as an enriching platform for cadets to enhance their personal, academic, and leadership capabilities—upholding the true spirit of the National Cadet Corps.
