New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued strong directives to the Indian armed forces to retaliate forcefully against any cross-border firing from Pakistan, sources revealed on Sunday. Emphasizing a zero-tolerance stance, the Prime Minister reportedly said, “Wahan se goli chalegi, toh yahan se gola chalega” (If bullets are fired from there, bombs will be launched from here).

The directive follows heightened tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), particularly after recent attacks on Indian air bases. The government has asserted that Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, is ongoing and far from over.

According to officials, India’s policy on Kashmir remains firm, with the only agenda being the return of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). “There is nothing else to discuss. We don’t require mediation. The only issue is the return of PoK,” a source said, reinforcing India’s longstanding position.

In a statement on social media platform X, the Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed it has completed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor “with precision and professionalism.” The IAF clarified that while some objectives have been met, operations are still underway. It urged the public to avoid speculation and refrain from sharing unverified information.

Operation Sindoor was initiated in response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, last month. It targeted multiple terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and PoK.

A special briefing by the armed forces is expected soon to provide further updates on the operation.
