Mysuru (Aryavarth): In commemoration of the auspicious occasion of Chamundeshwari Vardhanti, the customary Darbar Utsav was held at the Chamundeshwari Hill Temple on Monday night.
As part of the revered tradition, the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari was placed in the Rudrakshi Mantapa within the temple premises. Led by the Temple Chief priest, Dr. N. Shashishekar Dixit, the associated pujas and rituals were conducted with utmost devotion and reverence in the presence of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, a member of the erstwhile Royal family.
At 8:30 pm, the Utsava Phalapuja commenced at the Rudrakshi Mantapa, followed by the Durbar Utsav at 8:45 pm, where Pramoda Devi Wadiyar offered her heartfelt prayers. The grand celebrations of Chamundeshwari Vardhanti reached their pinnacle with the culmination of the Darbar Utsav on Monday night.
Earlier in the day, thousands of devotees from across the state flocked to the Hill Temple to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari on this sacred day of Chamundi Vardhanti. The temple premises were filled with an atmosphere of devotion and spirituality as devotees gathered to participate in the festivities and express their reverence.
