KATHMANDU: Police have ramped up arrests following the pro-monarchy protests held in Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.
Among those detained are leaders from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), including Rabindra Mishra and Dhawal Shumsher Rana, who played an active role in the demonstrations.
Kathmandu Police spokesperson Apilraj Bohara confirmed that 51 individuals have been arrested as of Friday morning, with further investigations ongoing.
The police have made it clear that those involved in what they termed “inhuman, unjust, and illegal criminal activities” will face legal consequences in accordance with the law.
